🐓Rooster Round‑Up in Eugene, OR! 🐓
Got extra roosters? Retired hens? Birds who have… outstayed their welcome?
We’re gearing up for a community processing day and opening spots for anyone who wants to join the round‑up.
We’ve had a lot of folks ask when our next butcher date is — so here it is!
📅 Date:
TBD — we’ll schedule once we reach a 15‑bird (chickens preferred) minimum (combined total from everyone).
If you want in, send me a message with:
1. How many birds you’re bringing
2. Whether you want the meat returned to you or if you’d like to donate it
3. Whether you want to keep the hearts, livers, or feet
💲 Cost per bird
There is a fee even if you donate the meat, since processing takes time and resources.

Interested in learning how to process your own birds?
We’re also offering a hands‑on chicken processing session you can register for.
This guided, learn‑by‑doing experience is open to adults, teens and to homeschool families / groups with kids ages 9+ (with a parent or guardian participating).
Each registered participant will need to bring their own poultry (chickens preferred) to process during the session.
You’ll work alongside us, ask questions, and build confidence with each step of the process in a calm, respectful, age‑appropriate environment.
This is a great fit for:
- Homeschool families / groups
- Teens interested in agriculture, biology, or self‑sufficiency
- Parents wanting to learn alongside their kids
- Anyone building practical homestead skills
If you’d like to join the processing day or register for the hands‑on session, send me a message and I’ll get you all the details.
