Aspiring and Small Business Owners…
LISTEN 🗣… Because y’all need to hear this💯
I dead ass hope that this will be a testimony to someone. I relocated back to MY hometown after being gone for 9 years, and came back as a Hair Stylist with NO clients… Not One🚫.
During the first years of moving back home, I;
✔️ Sat back and analyzed the “Small Business” industry, with an emphasis on the BLACK Small Business Industry.
✔️ Went through a divorce
✔️ Built up a FULL Clientele
✔️ Show produced my first Hair Show
✔️ Landed my first commercial opportunity at the BET Awards as a Hair Stylist, thanks Brittany for the 🔌… The Espy Awards & Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, 🙏🏾 Marcus Brazil it literally took that one job you gave me!
✔️ Checked a few boys & girls that had me 🤬 up because they thought I was here for “play play”…
Nevertheless, it didn’t stop me from busting my a$$ 6 - 7 days weekly because I was determined to establish Cut By James in San Diego.

Moving forward I’ve serviced HUNDREDS of local residents, built some amazing business relationships, birth & landed Hair Mayor Extensions on a global platform for the past 2 years, and trail-blazed the Loc / Dreadlock Industry. ANYBODY in San Diego that has locs or works as a Loctician KNOWS my name rings a bell💯 (and if they act like they don’t… they a hater or LYING).
After a plethora of hair photo shoots, promo videos, More commercial and celebrity opportunities (yes bihh, I have signed and STILL have NDA’s effective TODAY💯), hard work and dedication I’m not only Still Standing… But “torch bearing” in this San Diego Hair Industry..
Now understand I’m one of the most Humble, Respectful, God fearing, “don’t f**k with me, humans you’ll ever meet💯
Was I welcomed with open arms by all Small Business Owners in San Diego??? HELL NO🚫. A lot of em’ can stand to see me workin, growin, and in business. Ask me do igaf🤔… Nope… because not one of em’ can stop what God has planned for me💯

Sooner than later, I’m going to be the very first Millionaire in my Family💪🏾… And I say that with great Humbleness🙏🏾… I’ve learned a long time ago that life isn’t just about me… I’ve always said, “how can I expect to continue to be blessed… If I can’t be a blessing to the next person”…
I NEVER tried to be “clicked up” to come up, turned on anybody, acted brand new, looked down on the next person, blowed anybody off or kissed anybody a$$ to get here either 💯
I stayed and still am SOLID AF💯, the same James you met, and carry an open heart to help ANYBODY within reason.
