OFF DUTY LAPD COSTCO OIS CASE UPDATE:
On Thursday, 12/29/23, a Riverside County jury indicated they were deadlocked on all charges and were unable to come to a verdict in this case.

The California Attorney General's Office - who filed these charges after a Riverside County Grand Jury "rejected the case" - was unable to convince another jury that former LAPD Office Salvador Sanchez was guilty of any of the criminal charges filed against him for defending himself and his 20 month-old son from a mentally deranged, 32 year-old, 6'/ 213 pound man inside a Corona COSTCO on June 14, 2019 after the man violently attacked Sanchez from behind, with a blow to the head, which knocked Sanchez and his child to the concrete floor.

The case was continued two weeks until tomorrow, January 18, 2024 - when the Judge is expected to query the jury - verify they are deadlocked. and poll the jury to determine how they are the split.

However, the California Attorney Genral's Office has since filed a motion requesting the Court allow the prosecution to "re-open closing arguments" - and allow the prosecution to re-argue the case again before the same jury.
