Let's kick this off with some Business and Professions Codes. This "blog" post took a lot longer than I had anticipated and it's not even complete.

Below I will break each code down into three different sections.

So far I have passed two of three legs of the Certified Shorthand Reporter exam. October 7 I will be taking the third one. Wish me luck!

The Zenith model is more traditional insofar as the consonant keys. The most important new feature is that there are sensors under all cracks.

The Zenith model has 121 sensors. The original Classic had 58 sensors.

Sensors under cracks greatly enhance accuracy. No longer do you need to press two keys with the tip of one finger. The crack sensors themselves actuate the adjoining keys.

Vowel keys are enlarged and also have sensors under the cracks. A bonus is the option of defining the lower six zones (keys) to be any steno letter combination or series of strokes (macros).

LightSpeed ET (Edge of Tomorrow)

The ET model is designed to have a hand-in-glove feel.
The keys are sculpted to keep finger movement to a minimum and to give positive, comfortable biofeedback. Since the keys have little or no movement, the positive feedback factor is very important.

The ET model has 112 sensors. The original Classic had 58 sensors.

Sensors are located under all cracks. As with the Z model, those sensors enhance accuracy with respect to actuating two keys with a single finger or thumb. You no longer have to press two keys with the tip of one finger or thumb. The crack sensors themselves actuate the adjoining keys.

Vowel keys are enlarged and also have sensors under the cracks. A bonus is the option of defining the lower six zones (keys) to be any steno letter, stroke or combination of strokes (macros).

The tops of the upper row of consonant keys are sculpted into rounded pockets. By default they will be defined as numbers; however, they can be defined to be any steno letter, stroke or series of strokes.

As a incredible bonus, the bottom row of consonants are sculpted to have pockets. That design allows the bottoms of the S-, K-, W-, R- and -R, -B, -G, -S, and -Z to function as independent keys. They, also, can be defined as any steno letter or stroke or series of strokes.

There are also keys to the left of the initial S- that mirror the layout of sensors associated with wide -DZ keys. Those keys can be defined to be any steno letter, stroke or series of strokes (macros).
