We did it!!!

Thank you to everyone from the cannabis, equity and advocacy communities who supported this effort to ensure access to safe, licensed cannabis for ALL residents of San Diego County. 

In a 4-1 vote, Supervisors & brought licensed cannabis back to San Diego County.

Within 180 days, the County will adopt a cannabis ordinance that:

🔹️Puts social equity at the center of cannabis permitting
🔹️Expands cultivation, manufacturing and retail cannabis zoning and permits
🔹️Protects County residents from unsafe, untested cannabis
🔹️Creates good-paying jobs in the cannabis industry
🔹️Creates opportunities for people with past cannabis convictions & from communities unfairly impacted by the failed War on Drugs

The cannabis community looks forward to being part of the stakeholder engagement promised by the Board and bringing sensible cannabis policy to San Diego County.
