Platforms don’t heal people. Pedestals don’t either. When we praise gifting over character, we create pressure that unhealed places try to survive inside of. I’ve worked with so many people impacted by spiritual abuse — and it’s never victimless. Human beings were never meant to carry our hope, our needs, or our healing. When we build everything around one gifted person, we quietly set everyone up to get hurt.

God wasn’t changing.
He was accommodating.

Not lowering His nature.
Not hiding His heart.
But speaking in ways we could handle.

And then Jesus came —
not to adapt further,
but to reveal fully.

That’s the clearest picture of God we have.
