I posted two links below. The first one is titled "The Case of Michael Drejka." This is a video by JCS - Criminal Psychology on YouTube. It has a significant portion of the interview/interrogation and a narrator who gives the occasional comment or clarification. I also included a link to a follow up hearing.

Overview:
"The shooting of Markeis McGlockton, a 28-year-old man at a parking lot in Clearwater, Florida on July 19, 2018, was widely reported by news media as another instance of Florida's controversial 'Stand Your Ground Law', six years after the shooting death of Trayvon Martin generated international attention and debate. McGlockton was shot by Michael Drejka outside a local convenience store. Shortly before the shooting, Drejka approached McGlockton's car and began to verbally confront and point at McGlockton's girlfriend, Britany Jacobs, for parking in a disabled parking space without a placard. McGlockton came out of the store and shoved Drejka hard to the ground. At this point, Drejka drew his handgun and McGlockton began to back away. Two and a half seconds after Drejka hit the ground, he shot McGlockton. McGlockton later died from his injuries at a local hospital. McGlockton was unarmed at the time he was shot."

I’ve seen discussions on Trump’s 2020-05-28 Twitter post with the words “when the looting starts, the shooting starts” but it was hard to track down. Now I understand why. It violated Twitter’s TOS regarding glorifying violence.

If you see police officers with a black band or black tape across their badges, they are not trying to hide their badge numbers. The center of the badge is frequently the city or county seal. The part that is covered is inconsequential and would not help identify the individual, only the department.

[Excerpt from Officer Down Memorial Page]

Black mourning bands shall be worn on a law enforcement badge only in the following circumstances:

1. Upon the line of duty death of an active law enforcement officer (LEO) in your department. The mourning band should be worn for a period of thirty days from the date of death.

2. By all LEO in uniform or in civilian clothing while displaying a badge when attending the funeral of an active LEO. Upon the completion of the funeral, the mourning band shall be removed.

3. Upon the line of duty death of a LEO from a neighboring jurisdiction. The mourning band will be worn from the date of death and removed at the conclusion of the day of burial.

4. National Peace Officers Memorial Day (May 15th).

5. The day of any memorial service your agency has honoring your department's LEO's who have died in the line of duty.

6. At the direction of your sheriff, agency director or chief of police, when special circumstances dictate that a department display of official mourning is appropriate.

It has nothing to do with earth's gravitational pull on a certain day. It also has nothing to do with the vernal equinox (another day of the year when this "magic" supposedly happens). Instead, it has everything to do with balance.

There's a gif going around of two boys; one goes to pull the tablecloth out from a set dining table and inadvertently punches the other boy in the groin. I've seen mixed reactions. It's funny, but is the little boy okay? (GIF in the comments.)
