Happy New Year!

Keep the perfect energy flow going in 2024! In Feng Shui the energies in our homes & business spaces will change on February 4th, 2024. It is essential to update the Feng Shui in time as the flying stars shift each year.

This year we celebrate the Yang Wood Dragon energy. The blend of the dragon energy & the wood element reflects; change, adaptation, growth and new beginnings.

2024 is a big year in Feng Shui as we are also transitioning from period 8 to period 9. More on period 9 soon!

In Feng Shui we work with the five element system to create a beneficial energy flow in any given space. Metal is one of the 5 elements and it holds the message of focus, strength and clarity. Here are some basic ideas on how to incorporate metal into your environment.

Materials
Placing anything made of metal, iron, steel or copper such as furniture, appliances, lamps, décor, etc., is a great way to bring metal into your space.

Colors
The metal colors are white, gold, silver, copper, grey and pastels. Accessories are always a fun way to work with when it comes to colors.

Shape
Metal is associated with the shape circle and oval. Look around your space to see if you can find these shapes in your surroundings - maybe they are reflected in a piece of furniture, décor or artwork.

In all of my years practicing Feng Shui, I have never seen a space that wasn’t in need of metal to adjust the energy flow.

Bringing Feng Shui into your surroundings will positively impact your general well-being. To balance any given space, we work with the 5 elements; earth, metal, water, wood and fire. Taking a closer look at the element earth – earth holds the message of grounding, stability and security. If earth is needed in an area of your home/business space it can be added with anything made out of sand, clay, ceramics, marble, granite, rocks, crystals, and bricks. To support the element even more you can also tune up the space with;

* Color – Yellows, browns, beiges and terra-cotta are the colors of earth

* Shape – The earth element is associated with the shape square – furniture or any kind of decor in that shape represents earth!

* Artwork – Images of mountains, stone statue or rocks are perfect!

Everything in Feng Shui is about balance. Too much earth could promote the feeling of being stuck and not feeling motivated! So, choose in balance when adding earth into your environment!

In classical Feng Shui we us the five elements; earth, metal, water, wood and fire to balance our surroundings. Any given space can hold energies of imbalance which can have a negative effect on the occupants. Evaluating the energies of a home/business space and applying the 5-element theory, will create an atmosphere that flows with energizing harmony.
