More companies need to be like Jewish Family Service of San Diego! It is such a pleasure to get to work with them every week to help them develop some essential skills all through PLAY.

All month long, we’re kicking off the new year with a “Month of Play” facilitated by Gary Ware of Breakthrough Play. “With all that is going on in the world, it can be easy to dismiss play as a frivolous activity that only kids participate in. But a playful mindset can impact all areas of your life—giving you the opportunity to develop new micro habits that allow you to reflect, learn, and grow in your own way.”

Our Team JFS goal this month is to explore curiosity, openness, and connection—with each theme designed to give each other permission to be more playful, and at times, silly at work. Yes, at work! When we bring our full self to work, we work more efficiently with greater result. And taking care of ourselves means we can take better care of others. So go on, add a little more play into your life—you’ll be glad you did!
