June is basically my favorite kind of month because it’s all about loving on animals a little extra. It’s Foster a Pet Month and Adopt a Cat Month.

A few months back, I fostered six kittens, and although it was hard work with a lot of ups and downs, I decided to adopt these two; Poppy and Tator. They’ve brought so much joy, chaos, and sweetness into our house, and I’m so grateful I said yes.

Thank you to everyone who came to a session, asked thoughtful questions, shared real-life challenges, and made the room feel like a true community. I appreciate you more than you know. The calm voice on the phone when a client is panicking.
The tech who stays a few minutes late to make sure a patient is comfortable.
The receptionist who de-escalates a tough conversation with kindness and professionalism.

Make it a habit to notice those moments and say them out loud, in the moment. A quick “I saw that” or “thank you for handling that so well” goes further than you think. Recognition isn’t fluff. It’s how you build trust, confidence, and momentum.

When you’re trying to improve anything in your practice, goals can’t just live in someone’s head (or on a sticky note that disappears by Friday). The SMART method is one of my favorite ways to turn “we should really…” into a plan your team can actually follow and feel proud of.
