Sandstrand loves being a long time supporter of our great BOMA San Diego Chapter. Doing amazing things for our real estate community.

Our featured Member for Member Mondays is Lisa Lasho of Sandstrand Services. Lisa has worked in the San Diego janitorial industry for over 16 years! She joined her Company in 2018 as the Vice President of Marketing, and is responsible for building relationships, developing their marketing, building their Company culture, and always focusing on their customer experiences.

Lisa joined BOMA San Diego over 15 years ago! She went from knowing no one to building lifelong relationships and meeting some of her best friends as a result of being active in BOMA San Diego. Lisa is also a long time BOMA leader, having served as a committee chairperson and on the Board of Directors for many years and advocated for BOMA in Washington DC! Her proudest accomplishment was starting the Emerging Leaders committee for our Chapter and for her efforts, she earned the Innovation Award for her efforts! Currently her new role in BOMA is to help launch the new Life Science committee!

Fun fact about Lisa - She grew up in Wisconsin and will always be a Wisconsin Girl at heart. She lived in Italy for a year and traveled to every country in Europe. These days you can find me watching my son play baseball and my daughter cheerleading, and always planning my next trip!

Last night the Governor of the State of California issued an executive order mandating that non-essential activities cease i.e. ‘shelter in place’ ordinances for San Diego effective 3/20/2020. Please note that Janitorial and Custodial employees are listed on the Essential Critical Infrastructure list. Sandstrand Services employees are currently exempt from these mandates as we do provide essential public services. Our clients and communities, rely on us to keep properties and facilities clean and safe. Therefore, it is critical that we continue to show up and to provide services to our valued clients.

With the first confirmed case of coronavirus COVID-19 officially confirmed in San Diego, Sandstrand Services is closely monitoring the situation with San Diego County Health and Human Services.

All employees are informed and on high alert to continue to clean buildings thoroughly – with extra detail to all high touch points.

We have also taken an active role by ordering additional disinfectants to have available to our customers during this time. If you would like any of these products/services to be implemented into your nightly scope of work, please reach out to your account representative.

Current available products:
• Purell Disinfectant Surface Spray Hospital Grade
• Diversey Hospital Grade disinfectant cleaner wipes

Current available services:
• Protexus Handheld Electrostatic Sprayer to disinfect large areas
• Additional Day Porter Services to disinfect
• Increased frequency of touch point cleaning

What is known is whenever there is a viral outbreak, the recommendations from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) always includes the following:
• Practice good hand hygiene
• Cover nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or flexed elbow
• Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
• Clean and disinfect high touch surfaces

We are pleased to announce that Carlos Murrieta has joined the Sandstrand Services Team as Executive Vice President. With over 35 years of experience, Carlos brings with him extensive knowledge and leadership in all facets of Facility Services. We are delighted that he has joined our team so that we may continue our journey to provide quality and unparalleled customer service to our clients.
