Tarkolay, from Tarkett Sports Indoor, is a moisture membrane that goes up to 100% rH levels.

One of the clear benefits to the Tarkett Sports’ Tarkolay system is that it mitigates the effects of moisture on your sports floor. It removes concrete moisture conditions, keeps the subfloor water v***r away from the sports flooring, eliminates the need for moisture testing, and carries a long term moisture resistance warranty. But, did you know it can also be used to address other common issues related to your subfloor?

Tarkolay is a FloorScore® certified underlayment that separates the flooring surface from the concrete underneath. During installation, it is loose-laid on the subfloor. This separation of the floor from the concrete comes in handy in cases where concrete has expansion or control joints. It allows the slab to move somewhat independently without disturbing the flooring above it.

Below are pictures from one of our recent installations where a floor failed due to high moisture levels, eventually being left in standing water. Tarkolay was used as a new moisture membrane and our Omnisports Multi-Use was successfully installed.
