Tea 4 Free!
Take a walk just about anywhere in San Diego right now and you'll find young nettle plants popping up out of our rain-drenched soil. And, if you're a fan of nettle tea, take along a bag, scissors and some gloves (unless you're really into stinging pain) to reap a little bit of this natural, healthy and tasty bounty. (Don't worry, within about a day after picking those nasty stinging hairs will wilt enough to be completely harmless)

Caroline McKeown, a longtime member of the Normal Heights Commu...

Great Rooms are nice, but don't forget the Grape Room!
San Diego homes aren't known for having deep cellars, but with careful planning and modern climate-control systems, semi-subterranean wine cellars do an excellent job of preserving your finest vintage. And they can look great too!

Attention Dog Lovers: Here's a great photo essay in Houzz by Anne Colby which focuses on dogs appearing in architectural photography. We're very happy to see the cousin of our own faithful pooch featured in one of our projects in Bird Rock. For more pics of the house ...http://www.dougsimonarchitecture.com/proj_birdrock.html

The dogs of Houzz take you on a tour of their homes and show you where they lounge, eat, play, bathe and nap
