students and Post-docs obtain business skills, knowledge and contacts to facilitate a transition to consulting and business careers. We have over 400 active APD members and continue to grow extremely rapidly year-on-year. In the past 12 months alone we have
1. Organized 9 professional networking events with top consulting firms including BCG, McKinsey, L.E.K., Clearview and Bainbridge, encouraging
many of these to now actively recruit from the UCSD campus.
2. Launched a 5 week Micro-MBA program with The Rady School of Management specifically tailoring business courses in marketing, accounting, finance, project and team management to APD candidates.
3. Provided real-world business experience to over 50 graduate students by offering pro-bono consulting services to multiple local companies and startups including General Forensics, Bainbridge, SlantRange etc.
4. Led many practical skills based workshops including The Consulting Bootcamp, where professional consultants gave our members useful tips in the fundamentals of the consultants toolkit. All this concluded in our being named UCSD STUDENT ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR 2014 (from over 600 other organizations)
