I want to publicly thank one particular doctor who helped me in the beginning of my career without realizing how much impact he made on me.

Dr. Bertram Furman would rent out his entire office to me in San Diego on Sundays in 2002-2003. His charge to me was extremely minimal. I was 3 years into practice by 2002 and had by then moved to Orange County.

Dr. Bertram not only was very generous with his office, but he would frequently give me large textbooks on personal growth. Little did I know that by sharing those books with me, the knowledge would actually improve my self esteem and feelings of self worth.

My friend, I still have those books. Your kindness, warmth, love and friendship since I started in my 20s will be long remembered.

I love and appreciate your being, Bertram. You're a tremendous guy.

To all who read this, if Dr. Bertram is your acupuncturist or mentor, consider yourself to be extremely blessed. This is my 25th year in practice and much of who I am mentally is because of our dear friend.
