The version of film production that makes it on camera is the exciting part. The version that does not is just as real.

In this video, Silvana talks about what people do not usually ask about: the flights, the drives to remote locations, the hours at a hotel downloading footage before flying home. None of that time gets counted the way a shift on set does, and it means less time at home than most people expect. She has two dogs who would like her to notice this too.

She still calls it the trade that fits her. Every career comes with a tradeoff, and hers is time at home for work she says she would not give up.

Not every skilled trade involves a toolbox. Some involve a lead rope and a horse that needs to learn to trust you again.

Frankie grew up in a horse racing family and was riding by age two, but her path detoured through the Navy, where she served as a Surface Warfare Officer. About two years ago she returned to horses, and now she retrains retired Thoroughbred racehorses for second careers as riding and companion horses.

She says the discipline she built in the military carries directly into a job that demands as much observation as riding skill.
