What if I told you the conversion rate was zero.
I asked the team to guess first. Someone said under three percent. The real number was zero.
One campaign was a video, sent to over a thousand people. I do not think a single recipient knew it was a video. One click, total. It might have been one of us.
The product was fine. The offer was fine. The list was dirty and the email asked for five things at once.
Old data had overwritten the clean records. Five competing calls to action. A "learn more" link that led nowhere. A promise to join a community that did not exist.
Nobody converts from confusion.
Clean the list before anything goes out. One call to action per email. Never promise something in the copy that is not there after the click.
A messy list and five asks will sink a bad launch of a good product every time.
Pick one ask. Mean it.
