Here is a perfect example of why we graft heirloom tomatoes. On the right is an heirloom start. On the left is the root stock we graft them into. Completing this time and labor intensive process ensures your heirloom tomatoes have deeper roots, can uptake more nutrients and are more resistant to disease.
