Dragon Battle

Do you ever wake up thinking that today is going to be a little different? Even before getting out of bed today I could feel the tension of the day. Pain kept me awake dur- ing the night, and I thought maybe I would sleep in a little past my new normal rising time. Recently I have been getting up for sunrise, and this has been a big change for me. In the last three decades, I suspect, I have seen only a handful of sunrises. That is until a couple of months ago. Now I see almost every sunrise. But..

I did not want to get out of bed today.

Not just yet. I deserved a few more minutes. After all, my sleep was not good, and I was awake and in pain. Surely I’m owed some kind of respite! Do I really need to see the sunrise every day?

Well, no, I don’t. My spirit suggested, strongly, that for the next phase of my life I would rise with the sun. And so I have been. But this morning, it seemed off. The first of many decisions today: get out of bed or stay in bed. Two dragons at the brink of daylight fighting their endless battle. I was happy to be able to get a picture of the great beasts in their battle. I guess we know which dragon one this morning, for I was there to see it! Many blessings to all!

Well, the inevitable happened. I locked myself out of the house! Nothing to do but watch the sunset until help arrives!

There is change in the air. Yesterday the white Eagle of peace appeared. This morning, the Sun rose as usual. But I have been in a state of change for a while. The most remarkable change, one that’s been building for months, is that starting when we came out of daylight savings time, I began to wake at dawn. That’s how I got the picture!

The phrase “rise with the Sun” has been nagging at me ever since I fell in love with the house I now live in. It’s been a year, and the on again off again inner spirit voice that asked me to rise with the sun finally persuaded me. I have tireless guides that don’t give up on me!

So far, life is good. I’m more productive, and more important, I’m exercising. And all of this from finally listening to a persistent spirit voice! But remember, our guides like to help us and only ask us to do loving things! I don’t work with destructive voices!

What has your inner voice been telling you? What have you been putting off? And what might happen if you listened to that voice?

There is great anticipation here in the USA about today’s election, the lockdown is changing people’s lives in Europe, and the Earth keeps spinning. If you are inside a whirlwind, remember that the wind is made of air. Breathe deeply, both in and out. Breathe in calmness, breathe out your fear. You can survive. You will survive.

No matter who the leader is, it is ours to be the best people we can be. Love your FaceBook friends. All of them. Love your neighbors and co-workers. Love your delivery people, and your customers. Love the front line workers. Love the servers and cooks, butchers and farmers. Love the people. Love the people.

No idea is worth hate. We must lift ourselves up and not beat others down. Instead of insulting or degrading people, show them what it is like to be better, by example.

And breathe. Breathe in caring and breathe out hatred. Breathe in calm and breath out the storm. Reach out to others with love and reach inside yourself to find your compassion and divinity. We are all holy. Every one of us.

And choose. Choose to unify when others are dividing. Choose to help when others choose to disrupt. Choose to heal, when others are wounding. It is within you to choose your own worth. We cannot escape our actions, so act with honor. Always. We survive only with loving.

And breathe. Let the light inside you shine, and may you remain in peace.

Love heals — Love of self. Love of others. And the hardest: love of enemies. Hate creates only division. The state of love allows for understanding, even during disagreement. We can choose. We do choose. Choose love, for your own sake.

The more you love, the more you become immune to all the toxins and troubles of the “normal” world. And if do catch the fear “bug,” you bounce back quickly because it cannot get a deep hold on you anymore. ⁣
