Our lil princess has arrived 🎀🌸🩰 Say hello to Sofia 💖 She decided to start her journey into this world by breaking my waters on Sunday just after midnight at 39 weeks, but didn’t make her debut earthside until Tuesday night making her a lil fiery 8lb Leo 🔥🦁 to two earth sign parents (Ta**us and Virgo)… she definitely came and made an entrance on her terms rocking our world to the core!
We had quite the intense journey of 40+ hours of active labor together and all I want to say right now is there is absolutely nothing that can prepare you for birth… it is the most intense, beautiful, painful, hard, exhilarating, transformative experience… it will humble you, it will force you to surrender, it will take you to another dimension, it will show you that this is your babies journey and they decide what happens next.
I’m beyond grateful for my husband to have been there every second holding the most incredible space, coaching me, holding me, and being my rock… I know it was the hardest thing for him to witness me go through.
I’m grateful for the universe orchestrating my mom to be visiting to help me prep for postpartum who then got to stay for the entire birth and witness me give birth… this was not in the plans, but I couldn’t imagine her not being there and then to stay another week to help us with cooking, cleaning, and mothering me.
Our midwife and doula team was absolutely exceptional… like thank God for these women that we had chosen to guide and support us through this! These women are my angels.
Baby girl is healthy and strong!
As for me, I’ll be 100% in bed for as long as possible (one week down) to heal… postpartum is the fourth trimester of pregnancy and I’m taking it very seriously.
Will share birth story soon… but I want to end this with… any woman who delivers their baby vaginally like wtf omgggg you and I 100000000000% deserve a damn trophy! 🏆🤌👏🏼
