Not every black-and-yellow hornet is a yellow-legged hornet. 🐝

If you spot a nest, don’t disturb it or try to remove it yourself. Stinging insect nests can be dangerous, so it’s best to leave the assessment and removal to trained professionals.

📞 See a nest? Call Yates-Astro: (912) 651-9000 or report your sighting to GDA: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/7b8255c0dbbd41daadd269d0ae2eb36a

🏈 What a tailgate! 🏈

Yesterday afternoon, we closed the Savannah office a little early for some friendly competition, great food, and even better company! 🎉

Our Employee Appreciation Tailgate was filled with a lot of fun with an inflatable QB passer, Yates-Astro dart game, co****le, delicious food cooked by our managers, a photo booth, and plenty of team spirit as everyone showed up in their favorite sports gear! 🏆📸

And, of course, we couldn’t forget the raffle! 🎟️ We had multiple winners who went home with some fun prizes!

Thank you to our amazing employees for everything you do! We’re grateful to have you on our team 🙌

A proud moment for the Yates-Astro family! 🧡

Thank you to PCT Magazine for highlighting our acquisition of Altamaha Pest Control. We’re excited for what’s ahead and honored to continue serving Altamaha’s customers while building on the strong foundation established by the Yarbrough family.

The company said through this acquisition, Yates-Astro will continue serving Altamaha Pest Control customers and expanding its footprint across Southeast Georgia.

When you see the red tents going up, you know Yates-Astro is getting to work! 🏠🔴

Our fumigation team has been busy across the Lowcountry, helping protect homes and properties from serious termite infestations. From historic homes to larger properties, every fumigation takes careful planning, teamwork, and expertise.

With nearly 100 years of pest control experience, Yates-Astro is proud to help protect the places that make our community home. 💪

Today, we celebrated an incredible milestone—Shari Holland’s 20th anniversary with Yates-Astro! 🎉

For two decades, Shari has served as a dedicated CSR and an important part of our Savannah office team. We marked the occasion with breakfast, cake, heartfelt speeches, and a special monetary gift from the company in recognition of her years of hard work and commitment.

Shari, thank you for everything you have contributed over the past 20 years. We are grateful to have you on our team and proud to celebrate this well-deserved milestone with you! ❤️

Think you know your team just by the sound of their voice? 👀🎤

We put our Savannah Termite Manager to the test! One by one, his team called out, “Hey Robert!” while he tried to guess exactly who was standing behind him.

A fun challenge, a few good laughs, and a great reminder that teamwork is about knowing the people you work alongside every day. 😄

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the heroes, first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage in the face of tragedy.

We will never forget.

From Pest Control Technician to Residential Pest Control Supervisor! 👏🐜

Jason Ashford joined the Yates-Astro Savannah team in November 2018 as a Pest Control Technician. Through his hard work, experience, and dedication to the team, Jason was promoted in 2025 to Residential Pest Control Supervisor.

And when he’s not at work, you can usually find Jason traveling, enjoying powersports, fishing, or checking out local food spots. 🎣🏍️🍴

Jason’s journey is a great example of the opportunities for growth within Yates-Astro and the people who help make our company what it is today.
