gener8tor hosted SHIP’s first Lowcountry Lightning Rounds yesterday, bringing an exciting new format for connecting startups and investors to Savannah.

The high-energy event featured curated one-on-one lightning meetings between founders and investors, organized in partnership with Savannah Harbor Innovation Partnership. Selected startups met with investors from across the country — including several Lowcountry-based funds — in fast-paced 15-minute sessions designed to spark meaningful conversations, build alignment, and open the door to new investment opportunities.

The afternoon proved to be a tremendous success, with 190 connections made between founders and investors.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and helped make the event possible. A special thank you to the team at — especially Elizabeth Larios — for their leadership and collaboration in bringing this impactful event to life.

What a gorgeous evening we had for our first meeting of ! WAVES stands for “women anchoring, vision, entrepreneurship, and strategy” and that is exactly what it felt like last night.

Happy New Year from SHIP.

2025 was a big year for us, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helped bring SHIP to life. From our team officially coming together in January, to our public launch in March, this year was all about building momentum and community.

We hosted our first flagship event in May with the , kicked off our Corporate Innovation Lab period, partnered with the Georgia Center of Innovation for their agricultural event in September, and traveled to Indiana in October for the BOLT Conference with a big shout out to for the inspiration and support.

We closed out the year with a sold out conference on November 13, featuring our oyster roast, a full day of programming, and a special VIP dinner. A true celebration of collaboration and ideas.

Thank you to everyone who attended events, spread the word, met with us, partnered with us, and trusted us with your ideas. To the startups, supporters, and champions of SHIP, we could not do this without you.

We are excited for what’s ahead in 2026 and cannot wait to continue growing, partnering, and building together. If you want to get involved, learn more, or explore partnerships, we would love to connect.
