A great opportunity for projects in the ARC regions of OH, VA, TN, NC, KY and WV for the next round of projects to receive technical assistance and investor attraction. Check it out!

Appalachian Community Capital is announcing its expanded 2024 Opportunity Appalachia program, which has received ARC POWER funding since 2019 to help attract over $530M in capital to high impact projects, and will now provide technical assistance to coal-impacted communities in the Central Appalachian states of Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Main Street America is one of two national partners supporting the project.

The expanded program targets real estate projects that support downtown development, healthcare, education, recreation & tourism, food systems, clean energy, manufacturing, and affordable housing, and will now include communities in Kentucky. Throughout 2024 and into 2025, OA will select 30 high-impact projects to each access $40,000 - $75,000 in technical assistance in areas such as design, business planning, market studies and financial structuring, and assist in the development of investment prospectus, creation of project pitch videos and presentations, and make connection with investment sources. OA2024 expects the selected projects to attract up to $150 million in private investment to participating Central Appalachian communities.
