Most executives say they’re worried about AI taking their job.

I don’t think that’s what they’re actually afraid of.

I think they’re afraid of finding out how much of who they are was borrowed from a company that no longer needs them.

That title was doing the work their identity was supposed to be doing. And if you took the logo off the top of their profile, they’re not sure what would be left.

That’s not an AI problem. That’s an identity problem.

Be the only obvious choice.

Two words in that line do the work.

Obvious means the decision-maker doesn’t have to think. They read one sentence and know you’re the person for the problem in front of them. Nobody has to translate your background into their situation.

Only means there’s no shelf to compare you against. When you name the problem you solve and who you solve it for, you stop competing with a thousand similar profiles and start being the single match for the right reader.

Another hour of polish won’t get you there. Same shelf, same shape, same pitch.

A sentence that is specific enough to rule most people out is the one that makes the right person say, “that’s them.”
