The Link Center’s Shared Learning Groups are phenomenal learning opportunities. Having been part of these for the past year, I can share that this has been one of the most robust learning experiences, as it provides true collaborative learning and ways to join learning and community.
Members of the START Network are invited to join our partners at The Link Center for the next Shared Learning Groups on October 20-21, 2026. The topic will be, "Slow Down, Listen, and Respond with Humanity: Su***de Prevention Support Strategies for People with Co-Occurring Conditions."
When navigating complex, co-occurring conditions, people can often feel trapped and see no way out, placing them at a higher risk for su***de. While every experience is unique, the most powerful intervention often begins when we slow down, listen deeply, and respond with intention. Join this upcoming Shared Learning Group as we ground ourselves in lived experiences. We will discuss critical warning signs and risk factors, while sharing actionable strategies and resources to provide ongoing support and restore a sense of hope.
Every three months, The Link Center hosts virtual shared learning groups for direct support professionals, clinical professionals, family members, and people with lived experience. These groups provide opportunities to dive into important topics and tap into your expertise and experiences related to people with cognitive disabilities, including intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and brain injuries, and mental health conditions.
There are four sessions on the same topic for different target audiences. Please register for the session most relevant to you, or whichever best fits into your schedule.
Live captioning and ASL interpretation will be provided during all live webinars.
