Future lighting pros in the making.

We loved welcoming students from Phillips Exeter Academy for a behind-the-scenes look at our industry. During their visit, they got hands-on time with our GEO console and explored how theatrical lighting design connects to real-world production work.

We talked drawings, paperwork, industry innovation, and how the skills they’re building now can apply to the future of lighting, design, and live entertainment.

We’re hiring a Fall Sales Strategy & Operations Intern to support PORT’s Permanent Systems team.

This paid internship is a great opportunity for a college student who is interested in theater systems, architectural lighting, AV, controls, system integration, or technical sales, and wants hands-on experience learning how permanent lighting and control projects move from client conversations to real-world installed systems.

The ideal candidate is curious, organized, people-oriented, and excited by the intersection of technical systems, creative spaces, and sales strategy.

This role is especially well-suited for students interested in venues, theaters, schools, museums, houses of worship, studios, and other spaces where lighting and control systems are built to last.

The internship starts in September and is based in Seabrook, NH.

As our lead truck driver, Mike is a true professional, consistently early for deliveries, highly safety-conscious, and proactive in helping maintain our vehicle fleet.

Congratulations to Jim Hunt, our Warehouse Manager, on his 15th work anniversary at PORT!

Jim consistently brings an exceptional work ethic, invaluable institutional knowledge, and a great sense of humor to everything he does. His leadership and dedication help keep our production equipment preps and truck packs, both large and small, moving on schedule, even during the busiest and most challenging times of the year.

We are extremely thankful for the opportunity to work with Jim and grateful for his many contributions to PORT’s success.

Join us in celebrating a huge milestone for an incredible member of our team!

Congratulations to Chris Burr, our VP of Event Lighting & Production Services, on his 10-year anniversary at PORT.

Chris’s journey with PORT actually spans more than 30 years. He first worked with us as a Production Lead for a decade, then went on to found Reveal Lighting Design, delivering exceptional work across the country.

During that time, Reveal became one of PORT’s top clients, and Chris continued collaborating with us whenever he could.

Over the years, Chris has played a major role in shaping the growth and success of PORT. His talent as a designer and production leader is outstanding, but what truly sets him apart is his positive energy, leadership, and commitment to the team.

We’re incredibly grateful to have Chris back with us and to have shared so many years working alongside him.
