REPOSTING! It is all about priorities! As a social justice independent consultant, I cannot in good conscience make people wait. So I don't. Bureaucracy needs to be checked. PAY UP!

Attention Public Entities:

If you want to hear from community, pay their stipends immediately!

You seek their input via focus groups, interviews, etc. to help inform your evaluations, your strategies, etc.

Why should they have to wait to get their $. Especially now! When times are hard! When that incentive is needed for food, gas, rent, childcare.

If you are truly honoring your "equity and social justice commitments", you would ensure their time is valued and process those payments IMMEDIATELY!
