For years, I have told the story of Naidu Wines in pieces.

At tasting tables. Over dinners. In interviews. While walking through the vineyard. And often when someone asks me a question that sounds very simple:

How did you start a w**ery?

The truth is, I have never had a simple answer.

I didn’t grow up in w**e. I was born in Amritsar, India, moved to Australia for university, eventually made my way to California, and started my career as a vintner at 38.

But when I look back now, I can see that the story began much earlier.

I’ve written the whole story for the first time, including the parts I usually can’t fit into a quick conversation.

Kinda chic to bet on yourself.

To walk into an industry from the outside. To be early. To build your own lane. To make tradition look a little different.

I started Naidu Wines by taking a huge leap of faith, with no blueprint, no inherited network, and no guarantee it would work.

Just a belief that life had given me an extraordinary gift, and that it was too special to keep to myself.

Still building. Still learning. Still playing the long game.

And maybe that’s the chicest part 🍷

A few years ago, **es existed only as an idea. An idea shaped by my love for w**e,
hospitality, culture, and the belief that there was space in this industry for new voices and new
perspectives.
Today, I’m incredibly excited to share that **es is now distributed across California
through Classic Wines & Spirits.
This moment means so much because every bottle of Naidu Wines has been made with
intention, from the vineyards we work with in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast to the
community of people who have supported us along the way.
There were many moments where this journey felt uncertain, but what kept me going was the
belief that w**e has the power to connect people across cultures, tables, and experiences.
To everyone who has supported Naidu Wines, ordered a bottle, poured us in restaurants,
shared our story, or believed in the vision from the beginning, thank you. You helped make this
possible.
And to the Classic Wines & Spirits team, thank you for believing in where this brand is headed.
California, we’re just getting started.
