About the Job:

We’re looking for driven, responsible and self-disciplined team mates to install and service business computer integrated terminals. This position offers a competitive wage as well as valuable field technician experience.

This is a service technician position. You will be using your own vehicle each day to commute to different businesses and perform services at our customer’s sites. Time, service call and mileage are compensated. This position is remote, and your manager will be remote.

Job Responsibilities:

Installing and Servicing Electronic Point of Sale and Vending terminals
Running CAT6 data cable in various configurations
Diagnose and repair electronic and physical issues
Upload QA photos and paperwork while onsite
Communicate with the remote office daily.
Additional performance requirements include completing computer-based training, participating in conference calls, independently scheduling daily assignments, maintaining Administrative/QA documents, and communicating directly to our office and supervisors through phone calls, text messages, and e-mails.
Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) or more years’ experience in one of the related fields:

Electronics Technician (ET) –Installation, configuration, and remote troubleshooting

Satellite/Cable Installations

Information Technology (IT) –Installation and Configuration

Point of Sale (POS) systems – Installation and Configuration

Digital Signage – Installation and Configuration

Certifications in a related field (Electronics Engineering, CompTIA’s, A+,Network+, etc.)
Ability to answer short-notice service calls, and take night/weekend work
Required Qualifications:

21 or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass background checks and drug tests
Valid driver’s license
Reliable automobile and proof of automobile insurance
Strong time-management skills
Strong written & verbal communication, to include telecommunication
Ability to project a professional image of themselves
Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
Highly organized
High Standard of customer service
Physical Demands:

Walking, bending, lifting, repetitive motion, use of hand tools and test equipment
Prolonged driving (distances up to 100 miles away)
Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally climbing ladders with up to 50 lbs
Possible Overnight and Weekend work (extended notice)
Work Environments:

Retail Store Environments: during business hours and non-business hours
Commercial and Municipal Environments: during business hours
Occasionally working in ceiling and crawl spaces
Working from home in front of computer
Position will require verbal interactions with retailer and staff in person and via telephone
Required Tools and Equipment:

The following equipment is required to be carried with you any time you are in the field working for K9 Technologies. While not every job will require the use of every tool, emergency calls can come up at any time and a successful candidate will need to be able to respond quickly.

Service Call Equipment (required):

Laptop, Tablet, or Smartphone with voice, Wi-Fi capabilities and Data Service
Spare battery or charging cable for Wi-Fi device
Camera 2MP – pictures taken from a phone may be acceptable as long as they are clear and can adequately convey the needed information.
Tools (required):

Cordless drill with bit adapter and spare (charged) battery
Philips screw driver
Flat head screw driver
Socket Wrench and Ratchet sets – SAE and Metric
Ball headed Allen wrench set – SAE and Metric
Needle nose pliers
Wire cutters
Multi-meter – Able to test for voltage, amperage, and continuity
Knife or box cutter
Office Equipment (Required):

Computer (desktop or laptop) with internet access
Microsoft Office or equivalent
Printer / Scanner (black ink okay)
Cell Phone
Compensation:

$14/hr 90-day probationary period
Then $15-16 per hour (Based on experience and performance)
Yearly reviews
1099 Position
