To be perfectly honest, some days I am exhausted, burnt out and doubting myself as a creative, as a photographer, and as a parent. And then there are days like today that make me realize every moment of my life has led me to exactly where I need to be! This short film has been a labor of love that my son, Reid, and I collaborated on this year! We wanted to create something that really showcased what I do and what Penguin Pictures is all about. What I didn’t expect was to watch Reid blossom into such an incredible “dronetographer” and at such a young age. His understanding of movement, light and editing blows me away! This film, like my business is extremely personal to me. My desire to shoot in magnificent landscapes, but not want to be away from my family invented this thing I called Adventure Sessions. It was a brilliant plan to work and play and bring them on the road with me. Back then only a handful of families were brave enough to sign up each year, but fast forward nearly a decade to today and my entire year usually sells out in minutes! I’m always in awe!!! Grateful can’t even begin to describe how precious all of you are to me for supporting us all these years. My 2024 sessions will go live on January 1st!
