Earlier this evening, Journey Together helped clear the space and assisted a beautiful woman as she transitioned into her next existence. All was how it was to be. I am once again humbled to do this sacred and important work. To assist the dying as they leave this Earth is a calling I am honored to answer.

Held space for a sacred cacao ceremony and guided mediation to help with the anticipatory grief of losing elderly pets. This was a special sacred circle. Watching those we love, including our pets, reach the end of their life is hard. And the thoughts and fears can be overwhelming. As we hold space for each other, we create the room for tears to flow, feelings of safety, and a space for our higher self to do important work in the grief process.

VHOCC will hold a Death Café, a group discussion with the purpose of demystifying death and dying, in the VHOCC conference room, 829 E. 8th St., in Port Angeles from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. tomorrow.

The group is free and open to all and does not require prior registration.

Conversations are held every second Monday in Sequim and every fourth Wednesday in Port Angeles.
