How Are These Rats Getting In My Walls & Attic! 🐀🐀🐀🐀

When our Knock Em Dead Pest Control technician is performing a rodent inspection, one of the first areas they inspect is where the a/c lines go into the exterior wall of a structure. Unfortunately we almost always find a big open hole where the a/c lines enter the wall. On this home there were two openings and they were huge, and the roof rats had easy access into the wall and into the attic. At knock Em Dead Pest Control we never seal entry points without giving the rodents/wildlife a way out before completely sealing a structure. You will see in the pictures where a one-way door was installed to allow the rats a way out. Once all the rats are out of the home we will remove the one-way door and seal the entry point. When you’re purchasing a home, or having the a/c units replaced, make sure the hole for the a/c lines are sealed properly. Another Rat Toilet On A Roof!!! 🐀🚽🐀🚽

At this customers house In Argyle Texas they were hearing a lot of noises coming from their attic at night. So, you know they called Knock Em Dead Pest Control. During the attic inspection the Knock Em Dead Pest Control technician actually saw a live huge roof rat hanging out in the a/c air handler drip pan 🤢. Then while on the roof the Knock Em Dead Pest Control technician found a ton of roof rat droppings near an eave where there is a gap in the soffit to where the roof rats are entering the attic. Huge Rats In A Attic! 🐀🐀🐀🐀

At this customers house In Argyle, Tx they were hearing a lot of noises coming from their attic at night. So, who did they call? Of course it was Knock Em Dead Pest Control. During the inspection the Knock Em Dead Pest Control technician pulled down the attic door and immediately was hit with the strong smell of rat urine, and then heard rats running across the air ducting. Once the technician made it to the entrance of the attic, the technician took a video of a large roof rat hanging out in the a/c drip pan. Bad exclusion work can cause fire safety issues!
This customer in the Robson Ranch community in Denton Tx called Knock Em Dead Pest Control for a roof rat issue that they were experiencing. During every inspection a Knock Em Dead Pest Control technician inspects the roof for rodent entry points, and during this inspection of the roof the technician noticed there was a piece of hardware cloth used as a screen covering the front of the dryer vent which was not allowing lent to exist the vent and clogged the hole of the vent. The technician removed the screen and all the impacted lent. When the technician brought this to the customers attention, the customer said that’s why it’s been taking my clothes for ever to dry. Not only will this issue prevent a dryer from working properly, it also is a fire danger as lent is very flammable. Fire Ant Dirt Tube 🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜

During a rodent inspection In Flower Mound, TX a Knock Em Dead Pest Control technician found what looked like a subterranean termite dirt tube. But fortunately for this customer it was actually fire ants. Now, fire ants aren’t fun to have, but fire ants don’t cause structural damage like termites. It isn’t typical for fire ants to create dirt tubes on a structure, but it does happen.
