2026 Primary Election Statement
Yesterday’s primary election marked an important moment for our communities and the surrounding areas. Months of hard work, conversations with voters, long days on the campaign trail, and countless decisions all led to the results voters delivered at the ballot box.
At Cape Fear Strategy Group, it has been a true honor to work with each and every one of our clients throughout this election cycle. Running for office is never easy. It requires courage, commitment, and the willingness to put yourself in the public eye in service to your community.
What many people don’t always see is the personal toll a campaign can take. Running for office demands long hours, constant pressure, and time away from the people who matter most. It affects not only the candidate, but also their families, who stand beside them through the stress, the criticism, the uncertainty, and the sacrifices that come with public service. Every candidate who steps forward deserves respect for that commitment.
To the candidates who secured their party’s nomination, congratulations. Your hard work, dedication, and connection with voters earned you the opportunity to move forward to the general election, and we wish you continued success.
To the candidates whose races did not go your way, please know that your willingness to step forward and serve still matters. The courage it takes to run for office and advocate for your community is something that should always be respected, regardless of the final result.
We also want to thank the voters, volunteers, election officials, and campaign teams who made yesterday’s election possible. Democracy works best when people participate, and our communities showed up to make their voices heard.
While election night may close one chapter, the work of serving and strengthening our communities continues.
Finally, I want to personally thank the individuals who trusted Cape Fear Strategy Group to stand beside them during this process. In this line of work, many people start as clients, but by the end of a campaign, they often become something more, friends who share a commitment to their communities and the people they serve.
Best regards,
