A sample shoot and chance to really get to know Hunter Heverly and Carl Brubach, two legendary local spear fisherman who use their 28’ Privateer for commercial spearfishing.

Had the honor of interviewing the Gallo family, the official winners by vote of the bracket from Armstrong Nautical, LLC

We had a real good time with them and got to get some of their long history with the Privateer name. So much more from this day to come, including a long form video on our YouTube channel of the whole process, from beginning to when the bracket gets put on.

We’ll bring you guys every step of the way!

Little sneak peak of our day with some salty dudes who can put a hurtin’ on some fish. We joined Hunter, Carl, and Chad for a full day of offshore commercial spear fishing.

Can’t wait to share with you what we have planned soon with this group of guys and their story of how they come to be where they are now.

Privateer…that name means something

To you it may mean a day of spearfishing commercially to put food on the table for your family.

To another it means blasting ducks in the winter with his sons, making memories that will outlast him and be passed down to their sons.

And for others it means being caught 50 miles offshore in a storm, and still making it home to tell the tale.

Privateer means something because the people who own them mean something.
