Twenty years ago, I walked into the fire service as a volunteer firefighter with a desire to serve my community. I never imagined the journey it would take me on or the incredible people who would shape me along the way.
Throughout my career, I've been blessed to work alongside firefighters, officers, chiefs, and mentors who challenged me, believed in me, and invested in my growth. Those experiences have taught me that leadership isn't about rank or titles it's about serving others, building trust, and helping people become the best version of themselves.
That is why I have decided to run for 4th Vice President of the South Carolina State Firefighters' Association.
This decision isn't about adding another title. It's about giving back to an organization that has invested in firefighters across our state for generations. I believe our Association has a tremendous opportunity to continue developing leaders, supporting our volunteer and career departments, strengthening communication, and ensuring every firefighter feels represented and valued.
Our fire service is changing, but the values that brought us here remain the same service, integrity, hard work, and taking care of one another. We owe it to those who built this profession before us, and we owe it to those who will follow us, to leave it stronger than we found it.
I would be honored to earn your trust and your support as I seek to serve as your 4th Vice President.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged, challenged, and supported me throughout this journey. I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the firefighters of South Carolina.
Over the coming weeks and months, I'll be traveling across South Carolina and reaching out to departments and fire service leaders to schedule visits. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet with many of you, hear your perspectives, learn about the successes and challenges in your communities, and talk about the future of our Association. I hope you'll welcome the opportunity to sit down, share your thoughts, and allow me to earn your support.
