FROM WYOMING PRONGHORN TO OKLAHOMA WHITETAILS!
We recently had the pleasure of completing this Wyoming pronghorn European mount for a retired Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper, Greg Allen. Mr. Allen was extremely pleased with his finished trophy, but what made our conversation memorable wasn't just his Wyoming hunt. It was his excitement about taking his grandson deer hunting this fall!
We joked that he may have just enjoyed his last hunting trip of his own for quite a few seasons. Looks like Grandpa's hunting adventures might be taking a back seat to making memories with his grandson!
As it turns out, the other grandpa has first dibs on youth r***e season, but our Wyoming hunter will get his turn when Oklahoma's regular r***e season rolls around!
And something tells me he won't mind one bit. What a blessing for a young boy to have two grandpas taking him to the woods!
Some trophies are measured in inches. Others are measured in memories.
Here's wishing both grandpas and their grandson a wonderful hunting season. May the memories be bigger than the antlers!

Busy week with some high quality out of staters, including this Central CO 6x6 archery bull elk. Aaron Gillman solo hunted this stud, tracking 13 miles in 3 trips, packing him out alone! Congrats Aaron!

195 inches of prime Oklahoma whitetail goes from floating loss to wall-ready legacy.
When Jimmy Houston was out fishing with a guest on his lake, they spotted something unusual floating in the distance. Antlers.
Moving in for a closer look, they realized they were staring at a massive trophy buck that evidently had been shot weeks prior. Leaving almost 200 inches of antler behind wasn't an option, so they hauled it ashore.
Being that the skull had already deteriorated, it was left to the elements—downwind. Way downwind!
Months of Oklahoma heat and wind left the skull bleached and weathered, looking almost like a lost cause. That's when Osage Skull Works was challenged with rehabbing this beast.
Through a precise rehab process, we thoroughly cleaned the skull and meticulously restored the natural color, depth and character to antlers that exposure had wiped away.
What began as the sad loss of a magnificent Oklahoma buck is now a fully restored, wall-ready legacy.

Sometimes a skull looks too far gone.

Bring it to OSW before you decide that it is.

Opening weekend is a wrap and several hunters have started strong! Keep us in mind if you fill a tag. In the meantime, I'll be working on euros and sneaking off to the woods myself!

Oh its getting close!! Weather changing (no more +100° days!).
We had a few customers keep us busy this summer!

As the season is now behind us, its time to pull those "tweeners" from the freezer! Bring 'em frozen or thawed, either way, we'll turn it into a bright white show piece!

Oh the stories these skulls can tell! Had the privelege to meet a well spoken youngster, Lane, who took this 11 1/2 yr old NM bull with his dad and grandpa. This old boy had glass smooth teeth, and a fractured skull. May not beat any records but I bet he beat up on some bulls that did!!

It's depressing to see things wind down as the season closes, but we are still taking in skulls from our die hard friends in winter gear!
Wishing everyone a wonderful, Merry Christmas!

If you have an old "deadhead" that the antlers are bleached out, was hanging in a tree for a few years, stuck on an out bldg or laying in the chicken house, we can certainly rehab them. Here are a few pics of some antlers we have rehabbed!
