Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless gas produced whenever organic materials burn. When breathed, CO displaces oxygen from the bloodstream, which damages vital organs and can be fatal. Many of us have lived and worked along the Gulf Coast in the energy industry over the years, and have family and friends that have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The recent devastation of Hurricane Harvey has affected and displaced thousands of people in Houston and along the Gulf Coast. In the wake of such events, many organizations have stepped up to do the vital work of saving lives and providing shelter and comfort.

For many, it is not possible, practical, or even recommended to make the trip to directly lend a hand. On June 9th 2016, a few of our team members sponsored one of the holes and participated in the Prince George’s County Path to Greatness Golf Charity. This non-profit charitable organization raises funds from individuals and businesses within the community and distributes these funds to strengthen and support charitable programs that serve the region.

IMMEDIATE Assignment Opportunity - Domestic - Power Plant Operators

Vista Energy LP has an IMMEDIATE opportunity for Control Room Operations and Field Operations (must have either biomass or coal experience).

Note: Mechanical Commissioning personnel with the specific aforementioned-experience may apply. The target mobilization for this assignment is as soon as possible.

The available details are as follows:

Project Location: Mid-west
Project Type: Biomass Facility - the plant handles corn stalks, but experience with wood pulp or sugar cane bagasse is acceptable
Responsibilities:
Responsible for plant operations of a biomass fired boiler and related power plant and steam system equipment.
Successful candidates will monitor and control plant equipment to maintain safe, efficient and continuous plant operation in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and guidelines.
Duration: Assignment duration is expected to be six (6) months
Requirements:
5+ years of operation experience on a power plants, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in coal or biomass
Experience with Rankine Cycle power plants

Vista Energy LP provided EHS Management of a 115 MW Wind Farm, consisting of fifty (50) 2.3 MW Siemens turbines mounted on 80-meter high towers. The wind farm is currently the largest wind facility in Chile.
