DONT FORGET FORM 4547
( “Trump Account”)
There’s a lot of mixed information floating around, so let’s break this down the right way 👇🏽
👶🏽 The Standard Account (No Seed Money)
Most people don’t realize this part:
A U.S. child under 18 may be eligible for the standard account if:
✔️ They have a valid Social Security Number
✔️ They are a U.S. citizen
✔️ A parent, guardian, or authorized adult properly files the form
⚠️ This version does NOT come with the $1,000 contribution — it’s strictly about proper reporting and eligibility.
💰 The $1,000 Federal Pilot Program (Limited Group)
Some children may qualify for an additional $1,000 contribution, but all conditions must be met:
✔️ Child was born between 2025–2028
✔️ Child has a valid SSN
✔️ All standard account requirements are met
✔️ The child qualifies as a dependent of the person filing
📌 The adult filing must also be eligible and authorized — this is not automatic.
⏳ Important timing note:
These funds are not immediate. Availability is expected to begin around July 2026.
Why this matters
Missing the form, filing it incorrectly, or assuming eligibility can:
Delay processing
Cause the benefit to be missed entirely
Trigger IRS follow-up later
New programs = new rules = extra scrutiny.
