Today MHCC was very excited to welcome Madison Campbell, five-college alum and Founder of Iyanu, a global technology outsourcing firm. We were captivated by her concept and establishment of a socially responsible corporate platform where digital outsourcing now provides above-market rate wages to developing world employees, and simultaneously offers solutions to Western companies which seek digital expertise.

Iyanu is a proud corporate partner of MHCC. This winter, Iyanu pledges to offer 3 MHC students the opporunity to join their team through remote or on-site "winternship" experiences based in NYC.

On Oct 23rd, MHCC and MHC Women in Business were pleased to welcome social impact investor and entrepreneur Julian Lustig-Gonzalez, who shared his perspective on how to leverage finance to become a change maker. Julian discussed his intriguing experience in Columbia, where he founded a solar energy company to help improve indigenous living standards. We were fascinated by his start-up consulting venture as well as his publishings urging banks to incorporate environmental and human rights considerations into policy and procedures for underwriting stocks and bonds.

Our guest speaker, Julian Lustig Gonzalez, is an author on SRI with 8+ years of experience in social impact entrepreneurship. His own venture, SOL, helped bring solar electricity to rural indigenous Colombian communities in partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Today he works at the intersection of academia, industry, and government. He has provided strategy consultations for hundreds sustainable businesses in the Pioneer Valley and beyond.
