You know what’s funny?

I went through my old stack of business cards today…
And it felt like a mini clutter museum.
As a professional organizer, I literally teach people how to minimize excess, so why am I handing out paper that usually ends up in a junk drawer?
It got me thinking…
Are traditional business cards outdated?

With QR codes, NFC tap cards, and instant “save contact” options, it seems like there’s a smarter way to connect. Cleaner. More functional. More aligned.

But I also know some people still expect a physical card.
So I’m curious....
If we met and you wanted my info, would you rather:

A) A traditional business card
B) A scannable/tap card that sends everything to your phone instantly
C) Both

And be honest… what do you actually do with business cards after you get them?

This is a hard conversation, but it’s one we have all the time.
In many households, one person quietly carries the physical, emotional, mental, and of keeping things together. They set the standard. They keep things moving. And over time, the home can begin to depend on their effort just to function.
This is where it becomes exhausting.
And where resentment quietly builds.

🏈 5 Super Bowl Hosting Tips That Make Cleanup a Win 🏆

1. Take the trash can out of the cabinet and take the lid off.
Is it decor? No.
Will people actually use it if they can see it? Yes.
“Make it an easy play.”
If guests can see it, they’ll use it.

2.Disposable table cover = your cleanup MVP.
Use a disposable table cover and disposable serving containers. At the end of the night, fold everything into the table cover, toss it, and you’re done. No scrubbing. No sorting. No regrets.

3. We don’t need 10 small bowls ... we already have one SuperBowl.
Serve in fewer, larger dishes with lids so leftovers can go right back in the fridge.

4. Make party “decor that disappears.”
Set out disposable plates, napkins, cups, and even themed football snacks & cookies you want eaten. Once food and fun are flowing, nobody’s admiring fancy decor and you won’t have to take it down later and put it away.

5. Kick-off the kids’ school stuff while your prepping.
Pack school lunches, set out backpacks, pick out school outfits, and make sure homework is done before guests arrive. That way, when the last guest leaves, kids can start getting ready for their bedtime routine and you’re not starting another late-night scramble the night before the toughest day of the week.
