He uses his One Legacy Show, Identity Series Workshops, and T.A.K.E. Letters to impact others to find identity, value, and influence. I had 10 jobs in 10 years quitting every one but two. Nothing to be bragging about, but something to be said about how unhappy I was in the jobs I had. I expected more from myself. I remember sitting in my room and digging deep to analyze the journey I was on and th
e talent God blessed me with. I wrote down on a piece of paper the things I knew for sure:
I knew:
1. I was good at digital marketing
2. I understood brand culture and business very well
3. I was great at design
4. I was great with people
These things would stay in the back of my mind from that point on. As I moved job to job I would find opportunities on the side to help small companies build branded content and coach them on digital marketing. The process was nice, but I realized I was becoming a free lancer, not a business owner. I would spend hours and hours building out these projects and losing time in finding other projects. The struggle to find the next client and the next client and the next client (you get the idea) just so I could pay my bills was real. I had to create a system that had clients coming to me. It was time for another change. I had to build a team and a philosophy. I set one goal, “Help entrepreneurs/businesses create and leave a digital thumbprint.”
Why a thumbprint? Because that is the perfect metaphor for a brand identity. Each brand has and will always have it’s own thumbprint/identity. I started stepping away from the freelancing and started consulting as Rigo&Co. First as an advisor only then building a team to manage these projects. I still had that big thorn in my side, how to keep clients calling me? Then it dawned on me. It is much easier to sell a personal brand than it is to sell a company. I knew that if I impacted enough people as myself then I would open the door for opportunities for my company. And that is what I set out to do...
Impact people and businesses as DannyRigo and open the door to help them faster and further as Rigo&Co. It has made all the difference as an entrepreneur, mentor, public speaker, and business owner.
