**ATTENTION NEEDED**
There’s always things that go on behind closed doors that others don’t realize. You get those “Must be nice” comments from the people that haven’t witnessed everything you’ve put in for that outcome. Our story needs the public attention for the harassment we have continued to go through, that goes unnoticed by officials.
For us it’s the harassment that has made the past 4 months a living hell. Starting a business is hard in the first place not to mention through a pandemic like we have. From the financial struggle, to meeting the legal requirements, following the laws as they apply to us. We have done everything we were told we needed to get our license. We have passed multiple inspections from various departments. (DEP, BMV, County)
A handful of members in our area have had a disliking to the thought of our business from the day we hung our business sign. These same people over the months have called the state police on us, Department Of Environmental Services (DEP) on us. First it was the “junkyard” devalued the property value. Then it was 3 calls in a month to DEP that we were dumping hazardous waste on the ground. Passed all those inspection with no problem, to the point these departments have stated these people are wasting there time. They haven’t been back since, because these people have now moved on to other things.
This handful of people still not satisfied that they couldn’t get us in trouble. They have moved on to trying to get us shut down. People that live miles down the road, and the land owner of the fields in the area (who doesn’t even live out here, and goes south for the winter) have teamed up against us. These same people that we see with their phones up taking pictures as they creep by, walk our property line to scope the place out. These people that we have done nothing too. If our business is such a nuisance to your life, why are you dwelling your life over ours?!
To tell a little more of our story, as we ask for your support in this topic. Our first junk vehicle was purchased with a unemployment check. Both Dustin and I stopped filing for unemployment because the business began to show income. We are facing a time right now where businesses are closing because of the lack of people wanting to work. We have worked our asses off to succeed in this business. Now we just had our license suspended because the county pulled our permit from them. This is the extent these people have taken their harassment too. Pulled our license for doing nothing wrong, just taking this old mans word.
We have called the State Police to which they said he was a nice old man just keep our distance and leave him alone. When we asked for a harassment charge. But all departments are so quick to point fingers at us until they take a look, but won’t point fingers at him. I guess my question is how could a nice old man want to destroy someone’s life they have worked so hard to build.
