The Midwestern Regional Black Business Consortium is an organization
dedicated to stabilizing the economic future for black businesses and churches throughout the Midwest United States. Louis, Missouri, will focus upon black businesses and churches located in Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas and Ohio. Systemic and structural challenges have created an unequal wealth gap throughout this country. Many businesses and churches across the United States face the challenges of survival and some businesses, their demise, due to the effects of COVID-19 and now the Delta Variance. Many entities are in survival mode. Churches across the country are behind and failing to meet their financial obligations and mortgage payments delayed. The scenarios of foreclosures for some churches have become the reality. Wealth is unequally distributed across this United States. Black businesses have a fraction of the support and opportunities afforded to their counterparts. The lack of financial security and disproportionate exposure has had disastrous results for black churches and businesses throughout the Midwest and this country. It is our goal to advocate for strong business foundations, the facilitation of business growth and networking to increase generational wealth.
