🎬🎶 Wheels, Reels & Beats. What a weekend in St. Louis!

When two of St. Louis’ signature festivals happen at the same time, you know it’s going to be a good weekend. While Music at the Intersection (MATI) filled Grand Center with incredible performances, the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase brought filmmakers and film lovers together to celebrate storytelling made in and inspired by St. Louis.

One of the weekend highlights was Chasing Summer, fresh off its Sundance debut, alongside Fairlight, a St. Louis-produced thriller that recently wrapped filming. The film follows a successful couple who return home as wildfires close in, only to find themselves trapped in their house while a mysterious stalker turns their getaway into a nightmare.

For 26 years, the Cinema St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase has celebrated the creativity, passion and storytelling of our region's filmmaking community. This year's theme, "A SHARED LIGHT," honors the collaboration and support that continue to shape St. Louis into a thriving destination for independent film.

Opening night begins July 17, launching a weekend packed with St. Louis-made films, including the Sundance favorite Chasing Summer and the psychological thriller Fairlight.
