What a fantastic month of connection and growth at our recent council meetings in Springfield and Kansas City!
This month, we tackled a game-changing topic: The Balconies and Basements of CliftonStrengths for Small Business Owners.
As a strengths-based organization, our councils are dedicated to helping leaders recognize and leverage what they naturally do best. In the CliftonStrengths framework, every trait has a "balcony" (its highest, most productive expression) and a "basement" (the blind spots or draining behaviors that can hold us back).
During the meetings, we explored how small business owners can utilize this approach to:
Build better engagement: Foster stronger, more productive connections with your team and your clients by understanding how everyone works best.
Work in your wick, not in your wax: Spend more time burning bright in your zone of genius (your wick), and less time getting bogged down by the draining tasks that melt your energy (your wax).
When you know your strengths, you can stop fighting your natural wiring and start running your business more effectively.
If you own a small business and want to lead from your strengths alongside a supportive community, you should consider coming to a meeting!
Reach out to us today—we’d be more than glad to have a conversation about getting you plugged into our next event. Whether you are located in Springfield, Kansas City, St. Louis, or prefer to join virtually, there is a seat at the table for you.
