Are you the "Overwhelmed Entrepreneur"? 🤯

Stop running your business and start building a business that runs itself. This August, our exclusive Council meetings for small business owners are diving deep into the exact framework you need to scale without burning out.

We aren't just networking; we are implementation-focused. This month, our discussion centers on the Scaling Operating System (see attached blueprint for a sneak peek!), including:

✅ Phase 1: Building your S.Y.S.T.E.M. foundation (Save Yourself Stress, Time, Energy, and Money).
✅ Phase 2: Establishing a Balanced Ex*****on Cadence.
✅ Phase 3: Creating a Vision Dashboard and Review Rhythm.

Here is a shot of our fantastic Kansas City group moderator, Norm Christoffersen, leading the charge. Our Council groups are restricted strictly to small business owners to ensure peer-to-peer discussions are high-value and relevant to your unique challenges.

Escape the daily "candles" (minor details) and focus on the foundation. DM us or visit the link in our bio to find an August meeting near you.

Amazing council meeting this morning in Kansas City – our topic this month is something called theory of constraints – as a small business owner, what’s the biggest constraint keeping you from where YOU want to go?

What a fantastic month of connection and growth at our recent council meetings in Springfield and Kansas City!

This month, we tackled a game-changing topic: The Balconies and Basements of CliftonStrengths for Small Business Owners.
As a strengths-based organization, our councils are dedicated to helping leaders recognize and leverage what they naturally do best. In the CliftonStrengths framework, every trait has a "balcony" (its highest, most productive expression) and a "basement" (the blind spots or draining behaviors that can hold us back).

During the meetings, we explored how small business owners can utilize this approach to:

Build better engagement: Foster stronger, more productive connections with your team and your clients by understanding how everyone works best.
Work in your wick, not in your wax: Spend more time burning bright in your zone of genius (your wick), and less time getting bogged down by the draining tasks that melt your energy (your wax).
When you know your strengths, you can stop fighting your natural wiring and start running your business more effectively.
If you own a small business and want to lead from your strengths alongside a supportive community, you should consider coming to a meeting!

Reach out to us today—we’d be more than glad to have a conversation about getting you plugged into our next event. Whether you are located in Springfield, Kansas City, St. Louis, or prefer to join virtually, there is a seat at the table for you.

What does it take to build a truly engaged, high-performing team? Intentionality, insight, and outstanding leadership. 🏔️✨

I just wrapped up an incredible 2-day leadership and team development workshop with the amazing group at Pennington! Utilizing the training arm of True Strengths, we embarked on a collaborative journey to help this team become undeniably .

Over the course of two days, we went far beyond surface-level team building. We dug into the core of what drives performance and culture, focusing heavily on:

🔹 CliftonStrengths & Strengths-Based Leadership: We didn't just identify our natural talents; we had powerful discussions on how to actively aim our collective strengths at our biggest goals.
🔹 Climbing "Mt. Engagement" (Gallup Q12): We mapped out the journey to sustained peak performance, discussing how to meet basic needs, foster teamwork, and drive unparalleled employee engagement.
🔹 The "Bucket and Dipper" Framework: Drawing from How Full Is Your Bucket?, we explored the paradox loop of emotional energy—learning that using our "dippers" to fill others simultaneously fills our own buckets, creating a culture of recognition and resilience.

I am absolutely blown away by the outstanding leadership demonstrated by this group. They leaned into the vulnerability of growth and the mechanics of true engagement.

As Don Clifton said, "Perhaps the ultimate test of a leader is not what you are able to do in the here and now... But instead what continues to grow long after you are gone." Congratulations to the Pennington team on taking this monumental step to ensure that growth continues for years to come!
