Hopefully you all know how Emerald loves the sustainability initiative for meetings. Well Radisson Hotels and GDS-Movement have produced a new guide - Accelerating Sustainable & Regenerative Events: A Guide for Associations & PCOs. One item I got out of the Northstar Meetings Group article about this new guide is below. I hope you can implement some of these in your next event.
It outlines five actions for associations meeting professionals:

1. Engage destination partners earlier in the planning process.
2. Prioritize certified suppliers and consider sustainability credentials when selecting partners.
3. Build social impact and legacy initiatives into event design.
4. Incorporate low-carbon transportation strategies for attendees and other stakeholders.
5. Establish sustainability-related measurement, reporting and incentive frameworks.

Welcome to Indianapolis. My home for the next few days. Thank you NETS!!!
