Around here, isn’t just a buzzword — it’s how we roll. Our team spotted an opportunity to level up some key fabrication machines, formed a kaizen crew, and dug in. Better safety features won the day… and the bonus of automated lubrication from Pax Products, Inc. (hello, ) sealed the deal.

Our fiscal year at the Plate runs April - March, so last week we had our first KPI team meeting to review and celebrate our first Quarter! of 2026-2027! We're off to a strong start with many projects coming to fruition, including the installation of five new Titan punch presses to replace older models. A new deburring machine is forthcoming. The first quarter also saw our team growing, and we welcomed several new faces!

We are already hitting Q2 running with our strategic objectives to update/create standard works for all functions across the company.

Stafford’s Own Isabelle “Izzy” Cruz Joins WNP for the Summer Before Heading to Dartmouth Women's Basketball! 🏀

At Willington Nameplate, our culture is built on the families who have been with us for years and the next generation growing up right here in our community. This summer, we’re happy to have one of Stafford’s standout young talents, Isabelle “Izzy” Cruz, daughter of longtime WNP employee Jay Campos, work with us on the shop floor.

You may have read about Izzy (aka Bella when she’s in sports mode) when the Stafford Basketball Community page touted her achievements, and for good reason. After growing up locally, she attended Loomis Chaffee, one of New England’s premier prep schools, where she became part of a truly historic run. During her four years on the girls’ basketball team, Loomis captured four consecutive NEPSAC Class A Championships- something that’s never before been achieved by a girls’ team!🏀

Now, before she heads off to the Ivy League, Izzy is spending her summer right here at WNP.

Izzy chose to work at Willington Nameplate this summer to earn money before college, which tracks with her and her family’s grounded work ethic and mirrors what she shows on the court. Whether she’s helping on the shop floor or supporting day-to-day operations, she brings energy, focus, and a positive presence.

“For many of us, it’s been a full circle moment. We’ve known Izzy since she was a little girl, and to see her joining us at the workplace that her family has long been part of is very meaningful! Says Operations Lead, Jose Morales, Jr.

This fall, Izzy will head to Dartmouth, where she’ll continue her academic and athletic journey. Earning a place at an Ivy League institution is an extraordinary achievement — one that reflects her dedication both in the classroom and in athletics. Stafford Basketball put it best: The town is proud of her. And so are we!

Izzy’s path — from Stafford to Loomis to Dartmouth — is a story of community, opportunity, and hard work. It’s the kind of story that reminds us why WNP is more than a workplace. We’re a place where families build futures, where young people learn what dedication looks like, and where the next generation carries our values forward.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,

Stafford Public Schools is pleased to participate in the federally funded Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for Summer 2026. We are notifying families that this valuable program is currently operational and we welcome those that are eligible to attend.

The Summer Food Service Program helps ensure that children continue to have access to healthy, nutritious meals throughout the summer months when school is not in session. Through this program, free breakfast and lunch will be available to all children and teens 18 years of age and younger.

Program Information
No Registration Required: There is no application, pre-registration, or fee. Children may simply attend during the scheduled meal service times.
Open to Everyone: Meals are available to all children 18 years of age and younger, regardless of household income or school enrollment.
Community Meal Sites: Participation is not limited to students enrolled in summer school or other programs. Any child may receive meals at an open meal site during designated serving times.
