Tristan was a long time friend and Employee of New England Castings. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Kaitlin, his sons, Rhys and Ronan, his Mother Erica and his dad Peter who has also worked for New England Castings for many years. Sometimes words are never enough.

Obituary
AUBURN-Tristan Reid Donle, Forever 39, passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack on July 5, 2024 with family by his side.
Tristan was born in Lewiston, Maine on July 15, 1984, the son of Erica Doughty (Limington) and Peter Donle (Parsonsfield)
Tristan grew up in the beautiful woods of Limington, Maine, and met the love of his life, Kaitlin, while attending Bonny Eagle High School. They married in August 2006 and settled in Auburn Maine a few years later. Tristan worked in the hospitality, banking, and manufacturing fields, while also attending college to study business.
In 2010, he welcomed his first son Rhys and in 2013, his son Ronan was born.
Tristan absolutely adored being a father and was always seen playing alongside his two sons as well as his nieces, nephews and cousins. The neighborhood kids love hanging out at Tristan’s home with him and his family. He was generous with his time and his home, and lead a study group for his classmates at Central Maine Community College. Many of the younger students in his Electromechanical Technology program lovingly called him “Dad” and he graduated with honors during COVID. All this, while working full time and remaining dedicated as a family man.
Tristan was especially proud of his home and gardens. For the past few years, Tristan was meeting monthly with his “D&D” friends and frequently caught up with friends, old and new, online and in person. Tristan was a fun-loving young man, who enjoyed disc golf, camping, skiing and tinkering around the house. Tristan treasured life and loved spending time with family at Pequawket Lake in Limington, Gun Point in Harpswell, and The Farm in Parsonsfield.
Tristan is deeply missed by his beloved wife Kaitlin (Purcell) Donle, his sons Tristan R. Donle Jr. and Ronan J. Donle, Mother Erica (George Merrill) Doughty, Father Peter (Amy Hoffman) Donle, sister Lacey (Justin Liudvinaitis) Donle, Sister-in-Law Kerri Diaz, Stepsister Rebecca Merrill, Stepbrother Jake (Sarah) Merrill, Nieces and nephews Sam and Elizabeth Liudvinaitis, Annie (Preston Phillips) Andrews and Olyver Diaz, Dominic Merrill, and Redmon Merrill.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Tristan’s life on Sunday July 21st at 1:00 p.m. at his childhood home in Limington Maine.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Go Fund Me page set up to support Tristan’s family at https://gofund.me/805eb49e
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the funeral home website by visiting www.mainefuneral.com
