TBL is hiring for MSU Football games-seasonal work.

We are looking for individuals who are interested in working with us to secure MSU games in the fall. Duties consist of maintaining traffic control, directing vehicles and pedestrian traffic, collecting parking permits, and providing excellent customer service to our MSU fans, faculty, and visitors. Ongoing Investigation: Arrest Made in Gladney Street Homicide

At 12:57 a.m. this morning, Starkville Police Department officers responded to an incident on Gladney Street. The incident is being investigated as a homicide and remains under active investigation.

The individuals involved knew each other. An arrest has been made and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Additional information will be made available later today.

The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Mitanette Cooper (Calvin), a 47-year-old woman from Kankakee, Illinois.

Mitanette was last heard from by her family on June 11, 2025, while visiting Oktibbeha County. She is described as:

5’9” tall

Approximately 200 lbs

Black hair with red highlights

Brown eyes
