Iโm not really a sports person.
But watching the excitement around the Knicks this week made me realize something.
For many people, itโs not really about basketball.
Itโs about ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ณ.
Itโs about believing that after years of waiting, setbacks, disappointments, and hard work, things can still turn around.
Maybe thatโs why New Yorkers connect with it so deeply.
Over 30 years ago, I came to New York as an immigrant with big dreams, a strong work ethic, and one belief:
Life didnโt always go according to plan.
There were career changes, unexpected challenges, family responsibilities, and moments when playing it safe would have been much easier.
But New York teaches you something:
Maybe thatโs why, even in this season of life, Iโm still learning new skills, creating more options for the future, and building something beyond my career.

The people who eventually win arenโt always the most talented.

Whether itโs sports, business, family, or a dream youโve carried for yearsโฆ
Maybe thatโs what New York is really about.
